Position: Communications and Documentation Intern

The Small Earth Nepal (SEN) seeks a young, dynamic, and enthusiastic candidate as a Communications and Documentation Intern, having excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

Background

The Small Earth Nepal stands as a distinguished non-governmental organization (NGO) dedicated to promoting sustainable lifestyles and reducing Nepal’s global footprint. Since its inception in March 2001, SEN has been committed to advancing sustainable development and fostering choices that bolster system resilience. SEN emphasizes research and effective science communication initiatives, spanning from grassroots school-level engagement to high-level policy discussions. Serving as a vital bridge between the public and private sectors, academia, and government agencies, SEN facilitates collaborative efforts in research, capacity building, awareness raising, and advocacy. SEN focuses on inspiring youth and students, achieved through diverse initiatives under its Students-Teachers-Scientists-Community (STSC) network. The priority focus areas of SEN are: Water, Weather, and Climate Information, Sustainable Lifestyles, Climate Smart Agriculture, Conservation Education, Climate-Induced Disaster Management, Climate Change and Biodiversity.

Requirements:

. Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields (e.g., journalism, communications, environment science) 

. Experience with social media management and content creation

Responsibilities

1. Document and edit a variety of communications materials, including news posts, articles, and social media content related to SEN’s project and activities.

2. Support to manage and update the organization’s website and social media channels.

3. Systematically maintain data and records and retrieve them as necessary.
