Capacity-building training to the school Eco clubs of Bajhang and Bajura

The Small Earth Nepal (SEN) conducted capacity-building training for eco-club members, students, and teachers under the Landslide Environmental Virtual Observatories (L-EVO) project.

On May 19th, the training took place in Deulekh, Bitthadchir Rural Municipality, Bajhang benefiting students from Sunkuda Ma. Vi. and Deveswori Ma. Vi. Similarly, on May 22nd, another training was conducted in Falasaina, Budhiganga Municipality, Bajura where students from Thuma Ma. Vi., Pashupati Ma. Vi. and Saraswoti Ma. Vi participated. The participants engaged in interactive sessions, learning about sustainable practices and their role in protecting the environment.

Training sessions covered a comprehensive range of topics to enhance their knowledge and understanding. A group of 20 students and 3 teachers from Bajhang, along with another group of 30 students and 3 teachers from Bajura were trained in the development and effective management of the eco clubs. They acquired the necessary skills to organize fundraising activities, plan their annual calendar, and eco-club initiatives in helping the preservation of the environment. This training guided them to functionalize eco clubs efficiently and played an important role in driving environmental awareness and sustainability in their respective eco clubs.
