Stakeholders’ meeting for Pilot Project of Clean Up Nepal

The Small Earth Nepal organized the Stakeholders’ meeting for the Pilot Project of Clean Up Nepal on 31 May 2013. This meeting was the first phase preparatory meeting of Clean Up Nepal to discuss on pilot project.

The meeting was initiated by a short introduction of all the attendees with the facilitation of Ms. Nicky Shree Shrestha (Program Assistant, SEN). Following the introduction session, Mr. Sudarshan Rajbhandari (Vice President, SEN) along with his welcome remarks, introduced about The Small Earth Nepal and its working areas. He further gave a brief overview of Clean Up Nepal Campaign with its goals and objectives. Mr. Bikesh Shrestha (Representative, Small Earth Australia Executives) shared about SEA and about the activities being carried out by Nepalese in Australia. Ms. Kabita Gautam (Program Assistant, SEN) shared about Nepal Tunza Youth Environment Network (NTYEN) a youth network of UNEP TUNZA in Nepal and its objectives and activities. She further gave a presentation on overall Pilot Project of Clean Up Campaign to be held on 5th June, on the occasion of World Environment Day (WED). She shared about Clean up the World and different activities done in this regards. She further elaborated the reasons behind the emergence of Clean Up Nepal and shared about proposed activities for the pilot project.

Then the floor was made open for the discussion, during which all the stakeholders discussed on the following key questions:

1.   How can you support?

2.   Who can you bring in this network?

3.  Any resource person in related field?

4.  How can we make it more effective?

5.  Any additional activities?
