    The Small Earth Nepal (SEN) with the support of  WWF Nepal organized  one day programme entitled “Students’ Meet on Climate Change “on the occasion of the World Environment Day (WED) on Sunday, 5 June 2011at Nepal Administrative Staff College, Jawalakhel, Lalitpur.

  • The Small Earth Nepal Awarded with Green Asia Grant

    The Small Earth Nepal (SEN) has been awarded with Green Asia Grant 2011 established by Korea Green Foundation for the project COMMUNICATING CLIMATE CHANGE WE CAN ADDRESS IT, SOLUTIONS WITHIN US EXTENDED MISSION CARBON NEUTRAL NEPAL:  A PILOT PROJECT ON NAMO BUDDHA MONASTERY at Namo Buddha Monastery of Kabhrepalanchok district of Nepal. The award is for the outstanding research and awareness program conducted in the monastery during 2009/10.   • International Student Meet 2011

    The International Student Meet (ISM) was confluence of students from different continents with different countries like Nepal, Iran, Indonesia, Singapore and India representing different civilizations, lifestyles and various academic backgrounds.

    The collaboration of Students from different field making up a team and moving on in a venture of the International Student Meet was one of its new kinds. Our team comprised of students of different fields, interests and goals. The foremost intention of taking part in an International event is to make our country recognized to the outside world as well. We also promoted the Nepal Tourism Year 2011.

  • Graduates' Workshop on Wetlands
    2 February 2011

    The Small Earth Nepal (SEN) and the Central Department of Environmental Science (CDES), Tribhuvan University jointly organized one day workshop entitled Graduates' Workshop on Wetlands. In the workshop, eight research papers were presented in different aspects of wetlands of Nepal. The program was attended by more than 70 graduate students from half dozens of colleges in Kathmandu Valley and beyond. In the same program, Mr. Dhiraj Pradhananga, the president of The Small Earth Nepal made an announcement of research grant to be given to the young researchers with the help of UNESCO in the field of water and climate change. The workshop was supported by WWF Nepal, Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST) and National Lake Conservation Development Committee (NLCDC). Read more>>
