The drip kit and seeds of different vegetables were distributed to the farmers of the Purena of Buddhabhumi Municipality ward no. 2. in the presence of Mayor Mr. Keshav Kumar Shrestha and ward Chairman Mr. Besh Raj Khanal. The mayor expressed his happiness about the technology transfer made to the community by the project. He has also committed that the Municipality will support the project and its activities as far as possible. Likewise, the ward chairman expressed his happiness for choosing Purena as a project site and expressed his commitment to support project activities. Demonstration of the drip kit was provided to the farmers from the team of The Small Earth Nepal comprising of Mr. Arun Prasad Bhattarai and Mr. Niranjan Bista. A drip irrigation kit was installed in each household of the thirty-one farmers. Seeds of seasonal vegetables were distributed to the sixty farmers. The farmers were provided with local seed varieties of sponge gourd, bitter gourd, gourd, cucumber, pumpkin, okra, and beans.
