THE SMALL EARTH NEPAL

Dr. Robert Monro, Country Director of the British Council Nepal, made his highly treasured presence and released the annual report of Climate Change Learning Centre (CCLC) in a program at the Siddhartha Vanasthali Institute (SVI), Kathmandu. In the program, Mr. Dhiraj Pradhananga, the President of The Small Earth Nepal (SEN) launched the website (http://svinatureclub.wordpress.com) of the centre. CCLC is a project executed by Ms. Kanchan Shrestha, an International Climate Champion-2009/10 of the British Council Nepal. The centre was handed over to the Nature Club of the Institute. Ms. Shrestha is affiliated to the SEN and the program was organized jointly by the SEN and the Nature Club as an activity of the center to release annual report and launch its official website.

In the program, the ex-members of the Nature Club of the Institute also reported various activities conducted by CCLC and Nature Club till the date. Ms. Manju Sapkota, Nepal Climate Change Knowledge Management Centre (NCCKMC), NAST, made her commitment of providing a corner at NCCKMC for the CCLC and also looking forward to going ahead in a collaborative approach. It was followed by a group discussion and an interaction among the participants. During the program the certificates were distributed to the ex-members of the Nature Club. The program was also attended by the various journalists along with other concerned persons in the field of climate change.
