The books, which were mostly text books, reference books and students’ magazines, were believed to be an additional sources for the school children. The distribution of the books helped initiate the libraries in some schools whereas other school had them added in their already existing libraries. The aim of the project is to initiate libraries in the community schools and also to aware students about various environmental issues, sensitizing them and making them knowledgeable about the present situation of the environment as well and their roles to conserve the nature.
The team also made an observation visit to the schools to understand about the present situation of those community schools and also held separate meetings with the school principals and discussed about possible collaboration to improve education system in the schools of that VDC.
