Empowering Women in Water & Climate Solutions: QGIS and Geospatial Analysis

To empower women in the Geospatial Analysis The Small Earth Nepal (SEN) and the Society of Hydrologists and Meteorologists (SOHAM)-Nepal with the Universal Engineering and Science College (UESC) and the International Center for Applied Sciences (ICAS) are conducting a 2-day QGIS Training Program to develop necessary skills of Women participants in geospatial data analysis using QGIS, a powerful open-source Geographic Information System (GIS). Led by an experienced Groundwater Specialist Ms. Ellen Kwantes (SEN) participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of QGIS, enabling them to manage, analyze, and interpret geospatial data effectively with a thorough understanding of key concepts and techniques. Since the program starts from the basics,  women from different backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Application Requirements:

Interested applicants are requested to submit the following through the form:

1. Curriculum Vitae (CV)
2. Letter of Motivation (also mention an area of interest/research)

Application Deadline: 13 March 2024

Participant Requirement:

1. Participants should bring their personal computer with the latest version of QGIS installed.
2. Participants should have basic knowledge of QGIS.
