Training on Flood Data Analysis

Uniform, proper and systematic analysis of extreme flood data is crucial for accurately estimating the flood magnitude of different return periods, which is necessary for designing various infrastructure development projects. To address the issue of a low number of trained professionals in Nepal with the skill to analyze flood data, the Society of Hydrologists and Meteorologists – Nepal (SOHAM), in collaboration with The Small Earth Nepal (SEN) and the Universal Engineering and Science College (USEC), is organizing a two-day training program. This training program is supported in part by the Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST) and the Total Management System Consultants Pvt. Ltd. (TMS) as part of their activities during Nepal National Water Week (NNWWW) 2024.

The training program is designed for twenty early-career hydrologists/meteorologists and graduate students in this field. A highly experienced professional will conduct the training. If you are interested in attending the training program, please fill and submit the application form.
