THE SMALL EARTH NEPAL

Dr. Dhiraj Pradahananga (President, SEN; Associate Professor, TU), Dr. Deepak Aryal (Head of Department and Professor, CDHM, TU) and Ms. Ayaswori Byanju (Research Assistant, SEN) traveled to Dhaka Bangladesh for the learning and sharing visit from 19 to 22 January. They visited the experimental setup and the FTWS project site at Dhaka, Bangladesh. The Department of Meteorology, Dhaka University (DU), a collaborating organization of the FTWS project, has set the experimental setup at the University premises. The visiting team conducted meetings with the Department of Meteorology, DU and discussed the experimental setup, water quality tests, preparation of prototype of FTWS raft and further collaboration for research. Team visited the project site, Hatirjheel lake for the FTWS research in Bangladesh. This visit provided an opportunity for both the Nepal and Bangladesh team to exchange their learning and experiences on the overall aspects of the ongoing FTWS project and to apply them where appropriate.
